Dress Form Party

I'm joining Carol at The Polka Dot Closet for her Dress Form Ball.

I picked up 3 pin cushion dress forms at Jo Ann's about a year ago on clearance. They were covered with a lime green, white and black printed fabric so rather than try to recover them I painted them with white fabric paint.

I decorated one...so far...with vintage lace and pearls.
Be sure to check out Carol's party!
Thanks for stopping!

  1. She sure looks pretty all dressed up. What a great idea to use fabric paint instead of trying to recover them. Enjoy the party!

  4. Oh goodness she looks fabulous, how clever to paint her! I'll make sure she gets a chair to stand on at the ball so she doesn't get stepped on LOL! I will get her back to you safe and sound! Thank you so much for attending the Dress Form Ball!

  5. She's very pretty. Amazing what we can do with fabric paint. No one would ever know that was painted. Looks like silk fabric.

    See you at the Ball.

I just talked to a friend of mine today that has three forms. She's selling them, and said she'd save one for me....I can't wait for her sale!!!!

  7. I had one of these, only it was ugly orange wood, I gave it to my daughter and she painted it black and hung beautiful gift tags on it and pearls. Hmmm, maybe I should have thought twice before parting with it. Oh well at least she is enjoying it.

  13. Great transformation! Two of my Triplet Vintage Dress Form Divas could use a Deconstruction Make-over... I want to take the outer layers of fabric off to see if they have that ideal Sepia fabric underneath it all that my 3rd {and oldest} form sports? They were Thrift Store Scores so its not as if I have a lot invested in them if it turns out that underneath their outer layers there's nothing worth exposing? *Winks*
