As promised, here are a few of my finds from our trip last week to Missouri
Not everything is here...I found an awesome pink door that I'll save for another post and a few other little things.
I've wanted a McCoy vase like this but they can be pricey...I grabbed this one at $10.
A stack of butter pats for $3 (for all of them!). The rose cups were $3 and $4.
I like the pretty and perfect as well as the crazed and aged.
I really wanted to find a pair of old porch parts so that I could use them as brackets and make a shelf. The shop just happened to have 2.
The 6 plates were a steal at $1.95 for all of them.
I seem to have a new obsession with tub feet and these have the prettiest rust and white coloring.
They will serve as bookends eventually.
This cute little plant stand had to come home with me...it's larger than it appears here.
And the beginning of my new collection...chamber pots! I never dreamed I would like these but the price was so good and I'm thinking they will make pretty flower planters for the porch this summer.
I'm going to keep picking them up when they are as cheap as these were...$5 and $10. I love the crazed one best. (I know...a little weird to want old 'chamber pots'!!!) Ah yes...the good old days!
That's it for now but I can't wait to show how my pink door and pink prom dress turned out...I'll probably post if for Pink Saturday this week.
I also went to the Bachman's Spring Ideas House yesterday with my girlfriend...found lots of neat ideas and I took a lot of pictures. I'll post some of them in a day or two.
Thanks for stopping!!!!

Hi Faye, I think that you got some great find but I had to raise an eye brow at the chamber pots. lol. Just thinking what they were used for, still makes me smile in wonder. lol... but that thought aside, I think that they do have charm.

Wonderful finds! The chamber pots remind me of a time ages ago when antiquing became in vogue and my mom went to a dinner party where the hostess served food in one, thinking it was an antique serving piece! She graciously declined that dish.
ReplyDeleteYou found some wonderful things, I'm such a fan of dessert plates, so sweet! and that white matte McCoy vase was a steal at 10 bucks, great find!!

Fantabulous finds! Can't wait to see that pink door. Happy Easter to you!
ReplyDeleteYou hit the mother load on your trip! Not sure about the chamber pots though. Are you sure that's crazing on them? Just kidding. I have one packed away in my basement somewhere that my god-mother gave me a long time ago. I just remembered about it when I saw your photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat great 'scores'!!! I have an obsession with Old Tub Feet too... which eventually came in handy when The Man discovered an Old Cast Iron Tub out in the Desert during one of his Hunts and brought it Home for me! It was footless and luckily I had a matching set of 4 Claw Tub Feet from that Era! I have many Orphan ones too and they make great doorstops, bookends and Vignette decor.
