New shelf part two...

As promised, here is the rest of my new 7 foot shelf.
I like it right now but as time goes I'm sure I'll add a little more or rearrange it somewhat.

The right side, not very much has changed here since last week's post other than adding a button card and a card of rhinestone trim...

Moving to the left...jars of mop buttons and a little bling just to keep it pretty...
One can never have too many mother of pearl buttons!

More mop buttons and one of my favorite finds...this old brooch...

Up close of the lovely rhinestone trim and an old transferware pitcher I found at Junk Bonanza last fall in Linda's booth.... Itsy Bits and Pieces.

I love color as much as I love shades of white so as we move further to the left here is some of my vintage ribbon, silk thread, tatting, crochet, and spools of tatting thread...

And at the far left end is a large jar of vintage Star crochet thread.
A lot of these treasures came from one of my favorite Etsy shops Exuberant Housewifery

And the entire shelf with the print that I finally recently took in to have framed. I've only had it for at least 20 years!!!!

I think a lot of your blogs have inspired me to get moving and do some of the things I have been procrastinating over....there sure is a ton of inspiration in our blogging world!

(Click on a picture and it shows up a whole lot better!)

The next goal is to straighten out my sewing table which is below this shelf...it's still a cluttered mess!

Beautiful Old Ironstone Pitcher

My beautiful white pitcher....I made a quick dash into the thrift store the other day and sitting on a low shelf covered with fake leaves I spotted this pitcher sitting in a big white bowl.
Now I read all of these posts about finding these really neat old things at thrift stores and I do find some nice things sometimes but I have never found the real special super cool thing until last Saturday!

I carefully lifted it out and checked the bottom and was pleasantly surprised to find an old mark on the bottom. I looked it over and couldn't find a crack or chip, it was perfect!

In my shopping cart it went. Then I carefully took out the bowl only to find that it isn't a match for the pitcher. It's not as old as the pitcher, yet I don't think it's too new.

Who ever had this sitting in their home probably found a bowl that was a close match, and at a glance it does appear to match. I decided to take the bowl too. At $4.99 each I'd be crazy to pass the bowl up. Yes...$4.99 for the pitcher!

I love the curvy lines at the top and the pretty detail on the sides.

The mark, if anyone out there can tell me who the maker M & S is please email me at wildrosevintage@gmail.com
The pitcher stands about 12" tall.

If I decide not to display the pitcher and bowl together I can do this with the bowl....

Use it to display some of my pretty crochet and tatted laces...

A little crochet thread and tatting thread...love that variegated pink and cream skein....

A few fine crochet hooks and a tatting shuttle...

A lot of the crochet and tatting I picked up in my favorite Etsy shop Exuberant Housewifery. Of course these are mostly all one of a kind and I should keep her shop a secret...

Thanks for stopping by!

China, Tatting and Lace

An old Martha Washinton sewing table that I found in an antique shop makes a nice place to display some of my favorite pieces. One of my Grandmothers doilies is the base for all of this.

Love this Bone China Bouquet of Flowers. I found this in a junk shop in Arizona and I mean a 'JUNK' shop. I couldn't believe my eyes. The price was cheap, not a chip or scratch anywhere. I was flying home and wondered how this would survive.

I carefully wrapped it up in tissue and then a lot of bubble wrap. It fit into my carry on bag which I hung onto with dear life for fear the flight attendant would see it and insist on stuffing it into the overhead. It would have never made it they way she was pushing things in that compartment. It made it home without a ding.

Mother Of Pearl buttons from one of my most favorite shops on Etsy Exuberant Housewifery fill a pretty little Nippon dish.

Beautiful fine tatting from Exuberant Housewifery and a dainty little frame handpainted with roses.
